In this section you can find the forum rules and guidelines. These rules are designed to ensure this remains a friendly, welcoming and aggro free place to chat about the best hobby in the world!

These rules are strict for a very good reason, anybody disregarding them will be given a warning. Warnings stay on your record for 90 days. In the instance that you receive another warning within that period of 90 days you will be temporarily or permanently banned from the forum via your I.P.

RULES

1. Offensive language is not permitted on this forum. Offensive language includes: swearing, racism, sexism, inciting violence or hatred against someone or something. This list is only some examples of language that will not be looked upon kindly. Links to material which breaks these rules will be removed.

2. This is an English speaking forum, for the benefit of all users please do not post in any other language including "txt spk" or "1337". These languages just annoy people, we don't like being annoyed :)

3. This forum is not for advertising of services unless consented by The Outpost. This means that if you are a sculptor and would like to offer your services to users of the forum then you must contact us first. In most cases this won't be an issue but a ruling is final. Please be aware that advertising services or companies without permission will be an instant, permanent ban.

Guidelines

1. Please be patient with people. We are a mixed group from beardy veterans through to new beginners, that means that whilst something is obvious to you it might not be obvious to somebody else. We were all beginners once!

2. Try to keep abbreviations to a minimum. To help people stay involved in a conversation that use of whole words and sentences is advised. Sometimes this isn't practical so simply putting the full words first with a bracketed abbreviation can help for example: Friendly local gaming store (FLGS).

3. Check the rules and guidelines sections frequently, if they change and you break them...tough. "I didn't know" isn't an excuse.

4. Why not put the systems you play in your signature? It's always helpful to tell people what systems you play and what factions you play.

5. In an effort to keep registering simple and easy we have kept the bot countermeasures to a minimum. This means that some bots get through, to keep them off we have to 'cull' people from time to time. To avoid being caught please make sure you have posted something somewhere.
